Privacy Policy

Zenoomi LLC ("Zenoomi," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Zenoomi mobile application and website at zenoomi.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address and authentication credentials when you create an account
  • Pet profile data: Your pet's name, breed, birthday, weight, energy level, life stage, and any health conditions or special care needs you choose to provide
  • Care and activity data: Activity completions, care task records, check-in responses (mood, energy, appetite), symptom logs, health observations, reflections, and notes you enter into the Service
  • AI assistant interactions: Questions and messages you send to the AI assistant ("Peach") and the responses generated
  • Waitlist information: Email address submitted through the waitlist form on our website

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
  • Usage data: Features used, screens viewed, actions taken, timestamps, session duration, and interaction patterns
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and crash reports

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect precise geolocation data
  • We do not collect photos or images (the Service does not currently support image uploads)
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Generate personalized daily care plans, calculate your Care Score, deliver activity recommendations, process care reminders, and power the AI assistant
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality
  • Communicate with you: Send service-related notifications, respond to your inquiries, and provide updates about the Service (including beta program communications)
  • Ensure safety and security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

We do not use your personal information for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. AI Assistant (Peach)

When you interact with the AI assistant, your messages and your pet's profile data are sent to our AI service provider (Google Gemini) to generate responses. This data is used solely to provide the AI assistant functionality.

AI-generated responses are informational only and do not constitute veterinary advice. We do not use your AI interactions to train third-party AI models. Your conversations with the AI assistant may be reviewed internally to improve the quality and safety of the Service.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the Service:

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms).

Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 All Users

  • Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: You can update your account and pet profile information through the Service at any time
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting us at support@zenoomi.com
  • Data portability: You can request an export of your data in a commonly used format

7.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising)
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

7.3 Other State Privacy Laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port their data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address above.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@zenoomi.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Health and Symptom Data

The Service may collect information about your pet's health observations, symptoms, mood, energy, and appetite through check-ins and symptom logs. This information relates to your pet, not to you as a human user.

Pet health data is not protected under HIPAA (which applies only to human health information). However, we treat all pet health data with care and use it only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not share pet health data with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use it for advertising.

10. Communications

We may send you service-related communications, including account verification, security alerts, and updates to our terms or policies. These communications are necessary for the operation of the Service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

If you joined our waitlist, we will use your email address to notify you when the beta program opens and to send related updates. You can unsubscribe from waitlist communications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe mechanism in our emails.

11. Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your state or country. Our third-party service providers may process data in various locations. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email prior to the changes becoming effective. We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
